The most posh socks you can find

I finished my first pair of REAL socks. Admire their beauty!

My feet are in heaven

Look at the fine detail on the baby cables! You’re drooling, I know you are.

Look at those baby cables!

Now, before you all start e-mailing me requesting your own pair, I feel I must explain their tremendous value.

Yarn: Socks That Rock 100% superwash merino in Metamorphic colourway, $25.99
Time and labour: 20 hours (approximately) at $30/hr, based on how much money I could be making if I was teaching piano instead of knitting.
Total time and labour = $600

Grand Total for one pair of custom made socks = $625.99

It’s a total bargain! Don’t wait another second to order YOUR custom made foot nirvana!

  1. I love the close-up! Still doesn’t do the colors justice, though. And I’m so happy I can make my own because I just don’t think I could pay over $600 for a pair of socks – but I bet they are worth every penny.

  2. They look great! I’m always sort of shocked when I make something and then stop to think about how much I would have to sell it for just to break even. How do all those wonderful Etsy people do it?

  3. omg! i love them. i would totally pay $625.99 for a pair of socks like…now if only i can get my hubby to approve the PayPal transaction, i can put my order in! 😉

oh…does that include GST and PST???? 😉

  4. I crochet so I totally understand the price and think you are right on target.

I’ve always wanted to learn to knit though. I think the stitches are much prettier than crochet.

    Great work!

What do you think?
